About Salt of the Earth Sarasota®

At Salt of the Earth Sarasota®, we believe wellness should feel natural, restorative, and accessible. Our center was created as a peaceful space where people can step away from the stress of everyday life and experience innovative therapies designed to support the body’s natural ability to heal.

Our services combine the time-tested benefits of salt therapy with modern wellness technologies such as light therapy, vibro-acoustic relaxation, and therapeutic heated salt treatments. Each experience is designed to support respiratory health, reduce inflammation and pain, encourage relaxation, and help restore balance in the body. Whether you are looking to breathe easier, relieve discomfort, rejuvenate your skin, or simply unwind, our goal is to provide simple, non-invasive treatments that support your overall well-being.

Our Story

sote-outside-reduced.jpg

Owner Dianna Manoogian opened Salt of the Earth® Sarasota after discovering the benefits of salt therapy and realizing the Sarasota community had no similar wellness offering. Inspired after visiting a family member who had built a salt cave in Massachusetts, she and her husband returned home and opened the center within six months.

Salt therapy, also known as halotherapy, works by dispersing microscopic salt particles into the air that can be inhaled into the lungs. These particles may help open airways, loosen mucus, and support respiratory health—often described as “like a toothbrush for your lungs.”

What began as a passion for salt therapy has since grown into a full wellness center offering a variety of restorative experiences designed to support the body and mind. Over the years, Salt of the Earth® Sarasota has become a trusted place in the community for relaxation, respiratory wellness, pain relief, and rejuvenation.

Our passion lies in introducing people to natural, alternative wellness therapies

AND HELPING THEM DISCOVER NEW WAYS TO CARE FOR THEIR BODIES

Salt therapy may be the foundation of the center, but Salt of the Earth Sarasota® also offers a range of services—from heated salt beds and pulsed light therapy to vibro-acoustic sound experiences and rejuvenating light treatments—each designed to support the body’s natural processes.

Meet Our Founder: Dianna Manoogian

Salt of the Earth Sarasota® was founded by Dianna Manoogian, a passionate advocate for natural wellness and alternative healing. After spending years in the corporate world and raising her family, Dianna discovered salt therapy while visiting a relative who had built a salt cave inside a salon in Massachusetts. Inspired by the experience and realizing there was nothing like it in Sarasota, she and her husband returned home and opened Salt of the Earth Sarasota just six months later.

What began as curiosity quickly turned into a calling. Dianna saw firsthand how salt therapy could support respiratory health and overall wellness, helping people breathe easier and feel better naturally. Today, she continues to expand the center’s offerings, combining traditional halotherapy with modern wellness technologies such as light therapy, vibro-acoustic sound therapy, and therapeutic salt treatments.

Dianna believes deeply in the body’s natural ability to heal when given the right environment and support. Her mission is to introduce people to effective, non-invasive therapies that help them reconnect with their health and well-being. As she has shared in interviews, she sees her role as helping people discover new ways to care for their bodies and experience natural healing.

Beyond the wellness center, Dianna has been active in the Sarasota community and has served on the board of Impact100 SRQ as Director of Communications, supporting local philanthropic initiatives. When not running her buseinss or supporting other initiatives, Dianna enjoys playing golf, salsa dancing, traveling and spending time with her family.
